East Cork Songwriting Festival is proudly presented by East Cork Songwriting Group, a warm and inclusive community where songwriters of all levels and backgrounds come together to collaborate, hone their skills, and embark on creative projects. Since our inception in March 2024, we have fostered a vibrant environment for creativity, meeting monthly at Cobh Library.
As a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation, we are dedicated to nurturing the local songwriting community. We’ve successfully partnered with organisations like the Midleton Arts Festival, Midleton Literary Festival, and Sirius Arts Centre. Additionally, our journey was highlighted in a radio show produced by Noreen Murphy, which aired on UCC98.3FM, showcasing our group’s work.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our friends and mentors, Gerry Hodgers and Darren O’Flynn from the Drogheda Songwriting Festival, along with the generous support from our sponsors Cork County Council. Together, we continue to inspire and elevate songwriters.
